One July morning in Tucson, I took a hike in Catalina State Park. I walked about a mile into the park to do some painting research. After about an hour and a half, I noticed I was the only one around and wondered why others were not out enjoying the beauty of the day. Then I realized it was July and I had better start back because it was starting to get really hot. July in southern AZ. That’s why I am the only one here. This view is at the point I headed back out of the park. I like the sense of distance in the background mountains and the different patterns of the desert growth.
